Pooja International Nepal, Volkswagen Authorized Importer, unveiled the lucky winner of “Volkswagen Very Wonderful Offer” at Volkswagen Thapathali Showroom, today, 24thJune 2014. The program was attended by Mr. Henning Hansen, First Secretary, Head of mission, German Embassy Kathmandu, Mr. Paras Khadka, Captain, Nepal Cricket Team and Ms. Malina Joshi, Miss Nepal 2011, Mr. Baburam Humagain from Forum for Protection of Consumer Rights Nepal and invitees from press and media.
The “Volkswagen Very Wonderful Offer” was announced in September 2013, during NADA Auto Show 2013. The offer was continued for nine months. There are total of 500+ customers participating on the offer, who bought various models of Volkswagen from showroom throughout the country. The company sold more than 500 Volkswagen under the scheme, offering Models like Touareg, Tiguan, Passat, Vento and Polo.

Volkswagen was launched in Nepal in September 2010 with 6 German models. Currently, it offers 11 models and more than 30 variants in petrol and diesel versions. Volkswagen has 25% market share in the premium car segment as on date and ranked as top five brands in Nepal in terms of sales volume. During the program, Mr. Bibek Bijukchhe, CEO said, “It’s a great achievement as we are competing against the Indian and Korean manufacturers who are in market for decades. It’s the brand, man, machine and network which helped us to be in top five in just four years of operations.” Speaking on future strategies he added, “The focus in coming years would be to ensure a good ownership experience by Nepalese customers of Volkswagen. We are planning for significant investment in Aftersales infrastructure, manpower planning and service network expansion.” Regarding new launches, Mr. Bijukchhe said, “The executive sedan New Jetta and Volkswagen iconic models The Beetle are in pipeline.”
According to the Mr. Sarik Bogati, Manager Marketing and PR, “The response was very good also because the prizes were very attractive. All of our customers are waiting for this big day. We have well prepared ourselves with proper set-up for lucky draw. We have also arranged telecast of the event on TV and invited representative from Forum for Protection of Consumer Rights Nepal and media for the transparency of lucky draws.”

The inauguration was held on the 4th of April, 2014 at the Volkswagen Thapathali Showroom itself.
